GUAJIRA (COLOMBIA) OUTREACH

colombia-outreach

We are excited to share that we’ve just wrapped another successful outreach in COLOMBIA!

On November 26th, volunteers organized by the Natillera Tayrona Group & JoyJ Colombia gathered in the remote village of Guajira for two days of giving to those in need.

Gaujira is a semi-desert area in Colombia currently affected by a humanitarian crisis and populated mostly by indigenous Wayuu people. Starvation and lack of drinking water are affecting families in the community whose children are losing their lives to the dire conditions.

A brave group of women, Natillera Tayrona, and JoyJ volunteers endured a TWO DAY JOURNEY through treacherous road conditions to deliver 160 comfort bags, 250 breakfasts, candy and clothing to children — with the support of local donors and JoyJ.

A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to the Natillera Group, the JoyJ volunteers, and the donors for this incredible outreach!
