The Yale Club of New York City participated in the National Yale Day of Service on May 9 by hosting a co-sponsored JoyJ Outreach. There hasn’t been a more enthusiastic group of volunteers yet! They distributed 60 bags around Midtown Manhattan with guidance from JoyJ staff members. The bags included fresh sandwiches, snacks, McDonald’s gift cards, water, toiletries, baseball caps, shirts, and pamphlets with critical information on where to get assistance including programming options for getting off the streets. JoyJ looks forward to a lasting partnership with the Yale Club and Yale alumni!
