Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in marketing, communications, journalism, business, information technology, or another relevant field
  • 3-5 years of experience with public relations strategy and execution and brand-awareness building through earned media, events management, and storytelling
  • A commitment to our core values, creativity, and the desire to change the world
  • Demonstrated excellence in acting as an organizational spokesperson, crafting press outreach that works, and developing lasting relationships with media and influencers
  • Demonstrated experience with media monitoring and business intelligence software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit
  • Passion for advancing JoyJ voice and brand across a variety of media

Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $55k – $65k, depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design of our civil society strengthening and philanthropy programmes working with senior leadership to embed and scale approaches
  • Coordinate and lead on key programme activities that build the capacity of small community-led organisations, and develop nonprofit and philanthropy networks
  • Advise on research and insight development approaches, sharing knowledge
  • Support in-country representatives to meet their goals
  • Collect and analyse data, documenting findings
  • Co-author reports to funders and others
  • Contribute to our external communications (blogs, articles)
  • Attend relevant meetings and events and represent JoyJ
  • Contribute to the conceptualisation and preparation of funding proposals (ad-hoc)
  • Research potential funders and develop proposal concepts based on research (ad-hoc)
  • Contribute to proposal writing to foundations, government, and companies (ad-hoc)
  • Support colleagues (in London and globally) on other activities as needed

Salary + Benefits

Salary range: £27,000 – 30,000 pro rata + 5% pension contribution

Contract: Fixed Term for 1 year (with potential for extension)

Working Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Receive and analyze existing, new and renewed corporate partner agreements for:
    • ASC 606 – Revenue Recognition Compliance
    • Current and future invoicing requirements including supporting records, SQL queries, and prerequisites
    • Update revenue and cost tracking systems
  • Complete monthly and on-demand invoicing cycle including fulfilling corporate partner billing requirements
  • Process offline corporate partner contribution files ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain corporate fund accounts
  • Reconcile corporate gift card purchases and redemptions
  • Support margin and unit cost analysis
  • Support other regular bookkeeping, administrative, and analytical tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications

The following qualifications are nice to have, but are not required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (economics, poli sci, statistics, math, computer science, engineering, natural sciences etc.)
  • Experience with AWS (particularly Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB) and Docker
  • Familiarity with other tools we use often, including Metabase, Pandas, and Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with the nonprofit/international aid/philanthropy space and the common questions and challenges facing the sector

Salary range: $65k – $75k

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS in organizational management, NGO management or related field

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and independent judgment
  • Enjoys working with students (secondary level/high school)
  • Extensive experience in strategic planning and developing organizational plans
  • Experience conducting training
  • Experience with operational plans and policies
