JoyJ grant helps 12 girls at Mama Courage in Kigali, Rwanda
The 12 teenage single mothers who will learn entrepreneurship, HIV AIDS prevention, and how to protect themselves from domestic violence, thanks to a JoyJ grant began their six month course at Mama Courage in Kigali, Rwanda on January 9th. Each of them came from difficult circumstances and most were thrown out of their homes once their families learned they were pregnant. They will be taught to sew, and when they graduate in June, they will be given sewing machines, fabric, and the tools to begin business as tailors. Â
