Story

The JoyJ UWS Chapter organizes bi-monthly outreach to help people experiencing homelessness in Midtown, Upper West Side, and Harlem. Volunteers congregate at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament (152 W 71ST Street) at 10 am on designated Saturdays and assemble comfort bags to personally deliver them to people in need. Food, clothing, and toiletry essentials are included in the bag along with a McDonald’s gift card. If you live in New York City, please join us by sending an email to info@joyj.org and we will get back to you about how and where to join our team of volunteers!
