As the war in Ukraine continues to devastate, local JoyJ volunteers are keeping a pulse on the community’s critical needs. Some are bravely conducting weekly trips into war zones, transporting refugees from high-risk areas to a safer base in Poland. Donations to this evacuation provide bulletproof vests, gasolines for transport, and food for the refugees.
Unfortunately, evacuation is not as feasible for some families; particularly those with disabled children. With their inability to travel, these families experience increased difficulty in obtaining medicine or receiving other required assistance. Fortunately, Lora and other local JoyJ volunteers have recognized this urgency. Lora and her team are providing food, medicines, and loving support to those who need additional comfort in wartime.
